This is just a short, belated e-mail to say how pleased we have been with the Oak stable door, frame and 3 windows that you supplied us last Winter. It was the worst month to fit an untreated Oak door but we overcame that and once installed and treated it has turned out to have been a perfect replacement for the shabby old door that we had before. It has received many positive comments and the room behind it is a lot more appealing, warmer and no longer damp. The windows went it smoothly and once painted they are just the style we were looking for.

We also found you to be responsive and professional in the order and delivery process.

I can't recommend Jonathan and his company highly enough. They work with care and extremely sympathetically to the build. We first used them (having found them on the internet) to make 3 sets of garage doors, one of which is 'fake' and has a small personal door. The joiners we were using on our build were so impressed with the quality that they recommended that we continue with Jonathan for the doors and windows of the library I was building in a converted barn. There were three standout aspects of the product from Jonathan on this build - the three-pane fold-back doors with pellini blinds inset are strong and beautiful; Jonathan made a door with triangular-shaped window above from measurements supplied over the phone by our joiner; Jonathan also made a new oak door to match one we had bought in reclamation, matching to a bad photo from my iPhone. Needless to say, being a barn conversion, we have no straight walls, so the fit could have been problematic, but Jonathan worked directly with our joiners and between them they managed to get everything millimetre-perfect. Our builders took a stack of Jonathan's cards to hand out to other customers - very unusual for them, as they are very picky!

Needless to say, I have received lovely compliments about it and one of my neighbours came across to ask me where I got it, as he said it's exactly the kind of door he wants on his house. Well we have lived with our (your) stable front door for 3 years now and it still looks absolutely fantastic and entirely practical. It's a great combo of style and engineering. It's ever pleasing to the eye.
I am starting to turn my attention to our internal 'lovely' '70's veneer cardboard doors! Can you quote me a price for two internal 760 x 1974 x 35mm doors in the style of your 'Oak Door Fully Glazed'? Cost is important, wood isn't so much, although I'd like to keep it hardwood if only to keep the glazing secure. Can you also quote me for three matching non-glazed versions?

It is extremely rare that items are damaged in transit due to the way we pack but when or if it does happen we do everything we can, if a repair can be done that's great if not
we will replace the item. Please read Mr Bloomfields comments below.

Sorry not to have been in touch since you sent me the Idigbo filler.
The repair went very well indeed. First attempt showed the colour was a bit light so I darkened it with some wood dye and refilled the holes. I also added some graining with a fine brown felt pen and after varnishing with a medium oak colour it is impossible to see from any normal angle.
I am delighted with the way it has turned out and with the overall result of both doors in their frames, the skirtings and the window sill, they look fantastic and give a real quality finish to the two rooms. My wife is very pleased as well and says they are the best features of the new cloakroom/utility room.
Now that we have finished successfully I wouldn't dream of taking any refund - it was very good of you to offer it or replacement and it was reassuring to have in the background in case the repair didn't go well but the end result is so good I think we should just leave things as they are. I certainly know where to come if we need any other doors as we work our way round the house, it's been a pleasure dealing with you and Mandy.

Just a quick email to say that the door arrived as planned, and in perfect condition. You certainly weren't kidding when you said they were well packaged ! The poor delivery chap was struggling with it somewhat apparently.

The door is gorgeous ! It really is the "icing on the cake" for the kitchen. It has also shown that the cabinets and doors really do look like pippy oak (they're vinyl wrapped doors) as they're a perfect match with the real oak door. Our joiner is going to hang it tomorrow. He's too rushed today with other commitments and wants to spend time getting it right. I get the impression you may be contacted by him too as he's taken down your details :-)
We were already considering replacing our front door when the time comes to do the hall/stairs/landing so I suspect we'll be approaching you for that one.

Thank you for your letter following up the treatment for the door. I have coated the door twice with sikkens top coat and the glazing has been siliconed in by the joiner.
